Application: Umami

Derniere mise a jour: 23/02/2026

Last updated: February 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Umami App ("the App") handles information when you use it. The App is a client that connects to your Umami Analytics instance and displays analytics data.

1. Information We Process

The App processes the following categories of information:

  • Connection information you enter (such as your Umami server URL and username).
  • Authentication token returned by your Umami server after login.
  • Analytics data provided by the Umami instance you connect to.
  • Local preferences (for example: theme, "remember me", and ad-free status).

2. Local Storage on Device

To keep you signed in and improve usability, some data is stored locally on your device:

  • Secure storage: authentication token and ad-free purchase status.
  • Shared preferences: base URL, saved username (if "remember me" is enabled), and other app preferences.

3. How Data Is Used

  • Authenticate you against your Umami server.
  • Load and display analytics dashboards and metrics.
  • Persist app settings and login convenience options.
  • Support ads and in-app purchase behavior where applicable.

4. Advertising and Consent

The App uses Google AdMob to display ads (unless you purchase the ad-free option). On iOS, App Tracking Transparency (ATT) may be requested. In supported regions, Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) consent may be requested before personalized advertising.

AdMob and related partners may process device identifiers, approximate location, and app interaction data according to their own policies.

5. In-App Purchases

The App provides a non-consumable purchase to remove ads. Purchase processing is handled by the platform store (Google Play / Apple App Store). The App stores only the local ad-free state needed to unlock the feature.

6. Data Sharing

We do not run a dedicated backend for this App to collect your analytics account data. The App communicates directly with the Umami server you configure.

Third-party SDKs (such as AdMob and app stores) may process data as needed to provide their services.

7. Data Retention

Data stored locally remains on your device until you log out, clear app data, uninstall the App, or otherwise remove local storage.

8. Security

The App uses secure local storage APIs where available. You are responsible for securing the Umami server URL you configure and using HTTPS on your server when possible.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data through this App, contact us so we can take appropriate action.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date.
